The future of Heart-Centered Copy – let’s talk something that’s been a while coming. Regular followers have probably noticed that I’ve been away from the business. My site was even down for a bit recently and now I am back! For a while, I was uncertain myself about the future of Heart-Centered Copy. I knew I needed to take a big pause of things before I could sort out what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to change, and if I even wanted to continue with this brand and the services I had been providing.

The reality of life is that things change. People change. And sometimes that means the businesses or brands that we own will change with it. When deciding on the future of Heart-Centered Copy, I had to decide if this was something I was meant to continue, and what that would look like if I did. The future of Heart-Centered Copy was something I couldn’t quite picture anymore. I didn’t want to let it go, but I didn’t want to keep going exactly as I had been. The burnout had put me in the hospital back in New Jersey

I’m super happy to have the website live again, and my socials reactivated, and to be able to connect with you all once more. I have a brand new design to the website and it feels great to me getting a fresh start into something that I’ve loved so very much and that has brought so much greatness to my family for so many years. Understandably, some of you have had questions. Well, now I have answers. 🙂 And since I have answers, I can now give you answers.

Where Have I Been and Where Am I Going?

Hello friends! This is a post I’ve been waiting a while to make. A lot of you have been asking where I am and if I’m okay. Firstly, I’d like to say that yes, I am okay. I appreciate your concern, as this has been a tumultuous 24+ months for a lot of people. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the entire world in a multitude of ways. Individuals and businesses alike have had to evolve and shift to meet the new climate. The future of Heart-Centered Copy has also evolved. I’ve made some shifts to better suit where I am in my life now and also my goals for the future and for this business.

This also involved taking a full step back for a year to get myself healthy, care for my family, and re-evaluate where I wanted to go with this business, the people I most want to serve, and the future I want to build with HCC from this point forward. Taking the year off has given me more perspective and time to reflect on my own heart and what I need and want both from life and from this business. I can’t talk about the future of Heart-Centered Copy without also first taking a moment to be ever so grateful for all the wonderful things it has brought me over the years.

I am so grateful!

future of heart-centered copy

First, I have to express how very grateful I am for this business and the opportunities it has brought me and the wonderful people I have met because of it. It has been my absolute PLEASURE to do what I do for so long. To have so many wonderful clients, many of whom have become dear friends of mine, has been a dream.

And to be able to learn so many great things about content, copywriting, and marketing along the way. I’m so grateful for all the wonderful opportunities I’ve had along the way. I’m also grateful for all of the many amazing years I’ve had to do what I love to do.

In late 2019, before Covid hit most of the country, I experienced a personal medical emergency (the result of burnout and stress). This was a sign to me from the Universe that I needed to make some big changes in my life. I’ve learned the hard way too many times in the past. if you don’t slow down and listen, the Universe will make you slow down and listen. It turns out, I was long overdue for a rest and recharge.

Rest and Recharge – The Future of Heart-Centered Copy

Next, I’ll explain by saying I have been in retirement since March of 2020. I only did some copy work for my regular clients during that time. But I limited the new clients I onboarded. After more than 21 years in the copywriting and content marketing game, it was time for a break. I was due for a major transition in life, but I hadn’t taken the time to slow down and really listen to what my heart was telling me.

As I say to others all the time: when life gets messy, it’s usually an indicator to stop, evaluate, and re-assess. For me, I needed to rest and recharge. I was being called to enter a new phase of my life but I was resisting it, metaphorically kicking and screaming at the notion of change. However, once I embraced it, everything began to shift for me.

I bought a house out in the country, took in the sights and smells of nature, hiked in some beautiful new locations, started writing fiction (published over 20 books), and just took a big, deep breath in.

And I have to say: it was AMAZING!

You can love what you do and still face burnout. I’ve been there a couple of times throughout my career. This plus health issues, along with some major changes in my personal life meant I was long overdue for a big timeout. If I wasn’t going to take it for myself, the Universe was going to make sure I got what I needed – one way or another. Honestly, it couldn’t have come at a better time than during the pandemic.

While not in any way meant to downplay the severity of this global health crisis, some of us have found the pandemic to be a time of resetting, restructuring, and re-aligning with what we truly desire in life. For me, that meant taking almost two years off, doing some soul work and heart healing, and deciding on a new direction for my brand. Which is what this update is all about!

The Future of Heart-Centered Copy

With all of that said now, what does the future of heart-centered copy look like? Moving forward, I’ll be doing some things differently. Although right now I am accepting new projects and taking on 1v1 clients, I plan to completely phase out my done-for-you copywriting services by the end of 2023.

I will be more selective with the brands and people I work with, but I am taking on some new clients now, as of Dec 2022. In my heart, I feel called to work with spiritual and heart-centered brands or business owners (even if their business isn’t specifically heart-centered). This was always my main clientele but sometimes my desire to want to help everyone led me to taking on too many clients or clients who weren’t always the best fit for me.

In order to still help more people while also being selective in my 1-on-1 clients, I am going to be launching several new DIY courses and programs. You will see some familiar titles from my past programs, but these will be 100% revamped and updated to fit the current sales climate and needs. But there are also going to be some brand new programs. While all of them are centered around copywriting, content writing, or marketing, they also all have a tie to spirituality and heart-centered marketing.

I fully believe that holistic marketing includes your own mindset, heart, and soul. You are an extension of your brand. Your business is an extension of you. And in order to find true success in business, you need to get yourself and your own mindset right first. We can talk all day about the technicalities of writing a sales page, all the boxes you need to tick and how to craft a compelling call to action, but it’s equally important to learn how your mindset impacts the success of that sales letter.

The future of Heart-Centered Copy is going to include mindset work, moon rituals, crystals for copy, and some other fun stuff I’ve learned over the past 20+ years that help me in my daily life as well as in my business life. I’m so happy you’re here to take this journey with me!

How to work with me – Future of Heart-Centered Copy

So, how can you work with me? Well, for now, if you want to hire me, feel free to reach out and we can discuss your needs and see if I’m the right fit to help you. I have a few different ways you can work with me, including done-for-you copywriting and copy coaching and training programs.

I’m going to be delving more into the coaching side of things here, in general. I’ll still offer my 1v1 coaching hours like I did before. I will also still offer my VIP Days but the structure of them is changing. If you book in during the month of December, it will stay exactly as it is now. However, starting Jan 2023, they will be shifting to coaching/teaching rather than done-for-you.

There is also a new mastermind coming, and my 4-week copy camp will make some new appearances. In 2023, I plan to add some more DIY courses to the site. These will allow you to purchase a work-at-your-own-pace course to help you with services I previously offered like sales pages, lead magnets, and website copy.

My goal is to reach more people through my courses than I would be able to realistically work with one-on-one. In the long term, that means more people can benefit from my knowledge and training. It just isn’t practical for me to be able to work 1-v-1 with every single person, despite how I may want to. I have to protect my energy as well, and make space for my family and other things that are important to me.

I’m very excited about this new direction for the future of Heart-Centered Copy because it’s something I was transitioning into my last few years in business. This is how I feel my time and 23 years of experience will be best served going forward. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to go 100% into what my heart is calling me to do. Thank you so much for being a part of my journey.
